Today's post comes from Uncle Brian with some contributions from me too.
Anne was a gifted teacher of many subjects—French, English, and history. Her love of history, in particular family history, is also revealed in the names she and Emmett gave their children. We will examine each in turn and in another post we will look at older and younger generations.
Emmett John Fenlon (b 18 Jun 1939) was named after Anne's husband Emmett and her father, John Treacy.

Janet Elizabeth Fenlon Dippold (b 19 Oct 1942) was named after Anne's mother Janet MacDonell Treacy and Emmett's mother, Elizabeth Frances Kilcoyne Fenlon. It is interesting to note that Janet MacDonell was called Jennie on several US census reports and that is even the name that appears on her gravestone. Likewise, Elizabeth Kilcoyne went by the name Lizzie on the US census and newspaper articles. So, perhaps we should call Aunt Janet by the nickname Jennie Lizzie.
